The EU Ecolabel
The EU Ecolabel allows consumers to be confident that our printed matter has a minimal impact on the environment. Our ISO 14001 certification combined with the EU Ecolabel ensures that full control is maintained over individual products and the company's overall environmental impact.
In 2013, Stibo's Danish department acquired the licence for labelling advertising distributed to all households, as the first heatset printing company in Europe.

FSC®
The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®) aims to promote environmentally-conscious and socially and economically responsible forestry. FSC labelling is awarded where materials consumption for printed matter contributes to well-managed, environmentally friendly forestry practices.
In 2000, Stibo became the world's first FSC-certified heatset printing company.
PEFC™
PEFC, the Pan-European Forest Certification Project, is the forestry industry's own certification system. It aims to promote environmentally, socially and economically responsible forestry. PEFC is a traceability certification that allows PEFC-certified printed matter to be traced throughout the processing chain, from the forest to the consumer.
Stibo was first PEFC-certified in 2010.

ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is an environmental management system that implies systematic efforts to reduce the environmental impact of a company. All employees are involved in this environmental management system, and everyone is obliged to follow the procedures of the system. Our ISO 14001 system takes account of the external environment as well as the internal work environment of the company.
Stibo received ISO 14001 certification for the first time in 1997.
Carbon emissions compensation
Stibo was the first Danish printer to gain certification allowing it to use the ClimateCalc tool, which calculates the carbon footprint of printed matter. This means we can offer a precise calculation of the carbon footprint of an individual print job and offer to offset this by purchasing carbon credits. It is your opportunity to minimise environmental impact and to signal to your target group that your company is environmentally aware.
OEKO-TEX
We use environment-friendly inks that are totally water-based, with no solvents at all. All of our soft fabric materials are approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, issued by a well-respected institute in the textile industry.
